Ayaneo Kun LTE Module(EM7565)

First, let me tell you which carrier I used for testing. (Below are both telecommunications companies in South Korea.)

  • KT       Data Sharing SIM  30Mbps required IMEI, Device Name
  • LG U+  Standard SIM       125Mbps

Last time, my em7455 module is broken and return to seller.

So, I decided to take this opportunity to slightly upgrade the module(EM7565)

But the product doesn't work on Windows 11 at first and needs little bit work.

FYI, it works well on most recent Linux distributions.

You will need modem driver and putty (a program that can connect to a serial port).

Driver: https://source.sierrawireless.com/-/media/support_downloads/airprime/75xx/fw/7511_04122022/9999999_9907259_swi9x50c_01,-d-,14,-d-,13,-d-,00_00_generic_002,-d-,048_000.ashx (maybe need login? try it download first.)

putty: https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html

  1. Install the LTE module on machine. (I recommend attaching a 0.5mm thermal pad to the module.) If it is a new SIM card, do not insert it yet.
  2. Install Driver
  3. Check the LTE Modem port: Device manager -> Modem -> Sieera Wireless WWAN Modem -> Property -> Modem -> Port: (Check this, My port is COM6)

  4. Install putty
  5. Execute putty-> Connection type: Serial, Serial line: Put what you found(Com?), Speed: 115200->Open

  6. Type command ATI (The firmware version of the product I received was 01.14.02, So I did updated.) Firmware updates may damage the product, The decision to update the firmware is up to you. https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/minicard/75xx/em_mc75xx-approved-fw-packages/#sthash.ADBRTe4X.dpbs
  7. AT!ENTERCND="A710" (Activate administrator mode, must be typed, Please refer to the screenshot below.)
  8. AT!USBCOMP=1,3,100D
  9. AT!RESET (bIt will take a few seconds, and the device name will change)
  10. Shutdown, Insert sim card, turn on, check the Windows Cellular Settings, follow the instructions from your carrier.

If there is a problem during the above process, you can do a factory reset.

AT!ENTERCND="A710"

AT!RMARESET

Sierra Wireless Utility from the Microsoft Store: (You can use text message program after install.)

I don't know why, but the network search function does not work in the cellular network settings. There is no major problem during use, but it may be a problem when installing a new SIM card.

I recommend attaching a thermal pad to the communication module as shown in the photo below.

Recommended LTE antenna locations, the antenna on the left requires double-sided tape.

The antenna on the right It fits in the space between the battery and the power button.

 enjoy your mobile network.

The temperature dropped by more than 10 degrees due to the thermal pad(0.5mm). (before: 60~80, after: 50~70)

Tested by Patch type antenna SINR (dB) : 6.0 (Data Downloading)

Tested by PCB type antenna SINR (dB) : 21.0 (Idle)

fast.com, speedtest.net test result with LG U+

It works without any problems on Linux in the first place. KT
